The likely reason? Rising global RAM prices, with an early launch helping Xiaomi lock in pricing before further cost increases.

Internal codenames for the two phones have been leaked as “chagall” (17T — model 2602DPT53G/P12A) and “warhol” (17T Pro — 2602EPTC0G/P12U). All specs below are unconfirmed — treat as expected.

Why the Early Launch Is a Bigger Deal Than It Seems

Xiaomi has launched its T-series in September every year for the past six years without fail. A May 2026 launch would be the first deviation from that pattern — and the timing isn’t arbitrary.
