World of Warcraft‘s next epic chapter is almost here. Blizzard has announced that the Midnight beta test goes live November 11, inviting players to experience the expansion’s groundbreaking features, including the highly anticipated Housing system and new playable Haranir allied race.

Epic Edition Pre-Purchase Grants Instant Beta Access

Players who pre-purchase or upgrade to the Epic Edition of Midnight will gain immediate beta access, while community veterans, press, and opt-in players will receive rolling invitations throughout the testing period. Pre-purchasers also unlock early access to Housing, letting them build and personalise homes in Azeroth before launch.

The expansion introduces four stunning zones where Light battles Void: Eversong Woods, Zul’Aman, Harandar, and Voidstorm. Silvermoon City serves as the campaign hub for both factions facing new threats.

Revolutionary New Systems

The Haranir allied race joins WoW’s roster, earned through trust-building quests. Meanwhile, Void Elves can now become Demon Hunters, using the new Devourer specialization that harnesses Void magic for distinct gameplay mechanics.

Housing finally arrives in WoW, offering players unprecedented customization options. Week 2-3 will add Night Elf and Blood Elf exterior décor, with more content rolling out progressively.

Other innovations include Prey—a target-tracking system across three difficulties (Normal, Hard, Nightmare)—and Journeys, a brand-new Adventure Guide feature for tracking in-game progress. Talent trees expand with Apex talents, while the Transmog system receives significant updates.

Weeks 2-3 Content Rollout

Limited raid testing begins with Voidspire, Dreamrift, and March on Quel’Danas (excluding end bosses). Mythic+ dungeons and upper-tier Delves become available, plus Midnight Season 1 content launches.

Arator’s globetrotting campaign questline explores the nature of Light, while new activities cater to various playstyles—from challenging content to story exploration through Arcantina’s familiar faces.

To participate, ensure graphics drivers are updated, install Battle.net desktop app, select Midnight Beta from World of Warcraft’s “In Development” menu, and create test characters or import existing The War Within characters.
