New York City — The Fashion Capital Returns
Most of the film was shot across Manhattan, and production didn’t shy away from iconic addresses.
1221 Avenue of the Americas reprised its role from the original as the exterior of the fictional Elias-Clarke building — and when filming resumed there in July 2025, it drew massive crowds of fans and onlookers, something that never happened with the first film.

The American Museum of Natural History stood in (again) for the Metropolitan Museum of Art during a major Met Gala-style sequence. Production designer Jess Gonchor later described it as “a mob scene” on set.
Hudson Yards makes its debut in the sequel, with scenes shot near the 34th Street station. A Runway-themed pop-up at 20 Hudson Yards in April 2026 even drew hundreds of fans ahead of release. Central Park also featured in August 2025 shoots, while Bubby’s in Tribeca — a New York institution — served as another key location where Anne Hathaway was spotted on set.
The fictional Runway offices themselves were built as sets at Kaufman Astoria Studios in Queens — eight times larger than those built for the 2006 original.
