Vivo to release the Vivo X Fold 2, X Flip, and the Vivo Pad 2 in China

With the release of two new foldable and the Vivo Pad successor, Vivo is extending the range of its tablets and foldable. All three gadgets will be unveiled on April 20 in China. The Vivo X Flip is the company’s first-ever flip phone with a clamshell-like appearance, while the Vivo X Fold 2 is the follow-up to the original Vivo X Fold that was released in 2022. Of course, the Vivo Pad 2 is the follow-up to the first Vivo Pad.

Vivo Pad 2 Specifications

The Vivo Pad 2 is rumored to include a 12.2-inch LCD 2.8K display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels. The MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset reportedly powers up the device, there is 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The design is also likely to be improved upon from the original, and a dual camera arrangement (13MP+2MP) with an LED flash will be placed on the back. The Vivo logo will be emblazoned in the middle of the back.

Video chats will be a breeze with the 8MP front-facing camera. The tablet is said to include a 10,000mAh battery with support for 44W rapid charging. It is likely that the Vivo Pad 2 would ship with a keyboard and a Vivo Pencil.

Vivo X Fold 2 Specifications

The Vivo X Fold 2 is said to have a foldable 8.03-inch E6 AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2160×1916 pixels, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and a brightness of 1800 nits. The cover screen of the foldable is expected to be 6.53 inches, have a resolution of 2520×1080 pixels, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and a maximum brightness of 1600 nits.

The Vivo X Fold 2 might have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU, 12GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage. It could have a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 12MP telephoto camera on the back. Also, there should be two 16MP front-facing cameras, one on the main screen and one on the cover screen, for taking selfies and making video calls. Vivo V2 ISP support is also likely to be on the upcoming Vivo foldable phone, which will make it better for taking photos.

The rumored specifications for the Vivo X Fold 2 include a 4800mAh battery, 120W charging, and 50W of wireless charging. It will run the Android 13-based OriginOS.

Vivo X Flip Specifications

The Vivo X Flip will be the company’s first flip phone. The primary display is anticipated to be 6.8 inches, with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It might be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen SoC and have a rectangular cover screen with a resolution of 682 pixels. It might have an Android 13 and a 4400mAh battery with 44W fast charging.

The Vivo X Flip is believed to feature a dual camera setup at the back that is powered by Zeiss. It could have a Sony IMX866 main sensor with 50MP and a Sony IMX663 ultrawide lens with 12MP. Even though the launch in China has been confirmed, there is still no information about when these devices will be available in other countries or in India. As the launch date gets closer, more will be known about the features, design, and prices of these new products.
