US Fans, The Wait Is Finally Over: Heartland Season 19 Rides Into Netflix Early

Good news for a fanbase that’s spent months dodging spoilers from international viewers: Heartland Season 19 is officially arriving on Netflix US much sooner than expected, and it’s landing right in time for fall.

The Release Date That Changes Everything

Heartland Season 19 premieres on Netflix US on September 1, 2026. That’s a major shift from earlier projections, which had pegged the US release for sometime in 2027 due to the show’s usual exclusivity window with UPtv, which holds first-run rights in the States. Season 19 originally began airing on UPtv back on March 19, 2026.

Why This Release Came Early

Historically, Netflix US trails other regions by about a year because of UPtv’s licensing deal. International viewers in places like the UK and Australia already received all 10 episodes back in March. The good news doesn’t stop at the release date either — Netflix has confirmed the rights to the show through at least September 2028, meaning there’s no removal scare looming anytime soon.

Heartland has built its long-running success on family drama set against ranch life in Alberta, a format that’s made it one of Canadian television’s most enduring and beloved series, now spanning nearly two decades on air.

What’s Coming In Season 19

Following Season 18’s cliffhanger, the Bartlett-Fleming family faces new threats to the ranch. Amy juggles a blossoming relationship with Nathan Pryce alongside motherhood and a reputation under scrutiny, while Jack Bartlett contends with an inexperienced new ranch hand, and Lou faces tough choices protecting the family legacy. New cast additions include Kamaia Fairburn as River, Dylan Hawco as Dex, and Linda Boyd as Tammy Stillman.

Looking Ahead To Season 20

Season 20 is already in production, with filming wrapping August 30, 2026, ahead of its Fall 2026 Canadian premiere. Based on past release patterns, a Netflix US debut likely won’t arrive until late 2027 or 2028.
