Upcoming Indian Web Series Sequels 2026 — The Master List

The Shows You Can’t Miss

1. Kohrra Season 2

Kohrra Season 2 has already landed — and delivered. Barun Sobti returns as ASI Amarpal Garundi, now joined by Mona Singh’s Dhanwant Kaur as they unravel a chilling new murder case in rural Punjab. The first season won multiple Filmfare OTT Awards, and this sequel has matched the high bar set by its predecessor.

2. Panchayat Season 5

Panchayat Season 5 is perhaps the most emotionally loaded return of 2026. After Season 4 became a genuine cultural event — with fans openly weeping at plot developments involving beloved village characters — the Phulera saga’s return has been officially confirmed. The entire ensemble cast, including Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, and Raghubir Yadav, is expected back. No release date yet — but the wait is part of the charm.

3. Farzi Season 2

Farzi Season 2 is shooting now, with Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi expected to return. Reports suggest a potential Diwali 2026 release, though Amazon Prime Video hasn’t confirmed the date.

4. Mirzapur Season 4

Mirzapur Season 4 continues the power struggle in Purvanchal with Pankaj Tripathi and Ali Fazal locked in for the next bloody chapter. Alongside the season, a Mirzapur film is also said to be in the works — the universe is expanding.

5. Heeramandi Season 2

Heeramandi Season 2 — Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s grand return to the Netflix courtly drama world — is expected to begin filming after Bhansali wraps Love and War. Given how Heeramandi shattered viewership records globally, expectations are stratospheric.

6. Gullak Season 5

Gullak Season 5 continues SonyLIV’s streak of winning with its gentle, deeply relatable portrait of middle-class Indian family life. Few shows capture the everyday with such warmth.

Why 2026 Is the Golden Year for Indian Web Series Sequels

OTT platforms have learned a powerful lesson: Indian audiences don’t just watch shows — they live in them. Characters like Sachiv Ji, Kaleen Bhaiya, and Sunny become part of everyday conversation, embedded in memes and WhatsApp forwards long after the season ends.

2025 saw The Family Man Season 3 become the most-watched Prime Video India series of the year. That success has confirmed that ambitious, character-driven Indian storytelling has a massive, loyal audience ready and waiting.

2026 is their reward. And ours.

Whether you live for Phulera’s bureaucratic comedies, Purvanchal’s power wars, or the kotha’s glittering intrigues — the upcoming Indian web series sequels of 2026 have you covered from February all the way to Diwali.
