Tu Yaa Main: Film

Tu Yaa Main is a remake of the 2018 Thai film The Pool, following two social media influencers from opposite ends of Mumbai who fall in love — only to find themselves trapped in an abandoned swimming pool, fighting for survival against a deadly crocodile. Technosports Director Bejoy Nambiar (Wazir, Taish) helms the film, produced by Aanand L. Rai’s Colour Yellow Productions.

Adarsh Gourav plays Maruti aka Aala Flowpara, a rapper from Nalasopara, while Shanaya Kapoor plays Avni, a popular digital influencer — and both deliver performances anchored in emotion despite the chaos around them. Bm Times

Can It Recover?

Realistically? It’s an uphill battle. With ₹3.25 crore in four days and weak weekday momentum, Tu Yaa Main is heading for a very limited theatrical run. Unless a sudden surge in word-of-mouth flips the script, the film is likely to find its real audience on OTT rather than the big screen.
