Birthday gifts rarely get bigger than this. On Shah Rukh Khan’s 61st birthday, the makers of King dropped the film’s first song, Tu Mil Jaaye. Fans have waited months for a glimpse of the action thriller, and this track delivers a softer, more romantic side of its world.

What Makes Tu Mil Jaaye Special?

The 3-minute-42-second track pairs SRK with Deepika Padukone in exotic overseas locations. The video leans into romance, with a beach sequence showing off SRK’s chiselled look. It also adds flashes of action, a reminder that this is still a gangster-style thriller at heart.

SRK shared the song on social media and confirmed that the film arrives in cinemas on 24 December 2026.

Tu Mil Jaaye: The Voices and Music Behind the Song

The song’s lineup is a big draw in itself. Sachin-Jigar composed it, and three singers lend their voices.

Detail	Info
Song title	Tu Mil Jaaye
Film	King

An international name like Ed Sheeran alongside Arijit Singh gives the song crossover appeal, which could help it travel well beyond India.

SRK in “Aashiq” Mode

Fans have seen SRK as a romantic hero many times, and this song brings that charm back. The video opens with a short line from SRK that blends romance with a touch of menace, which sets the film’s tone. The mix of love and danger is exactly what the title “Love Like a King” promises.

The chemistry between SRK and Deepika is what many viewers are talking about. Their on-screen pairing has a loyal fan base, and this song gives them a fresh reason to cheer.

What We Know About King?

King is directed by Siddharth Anand, who also made Pathaan. It’s an action thriller with a large ensemble cast:

Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone (leads)
Rani Mukerji and Suhana Khan
Abhishek Bachchan and Jackie Shroff
Raghav Juyal, Abhay Verma and Saurabh Shukla
Arshad Warsi and Jaideep Ahlawat

With that cast and a Christmas release, expectations are high. The song works well as a teaser because it shows the emotional side of a film that’s otherwise built on action.
