King: Overview

SRK Kicks Off the Countdown

In a recent #AskSRK session, the actor responded to a fan’s playful question about the film with a cheeky one-liner, sending the internet into a frenzy. He also shared the first-ever dialogue from King, calling it something he was “trying out for the first time” specifically for his fans, further fueling excitement ahead of the release.

A Darker, Riskier SRK

The title teaser, unveiled on Shah Rukh’s 60th birthday, introduced a silver-haired, bloodied, and menacing new avatar unlike anything the superstar has played before. Flipping a King of Hearts card to the camera, his character delivers a chilling monologue about a thousand unnamed crimes, positioning King as part action spectacle, part psychological thriller.

Big Names, Bigger Stakes

The film marks Suhana Khan’s theatrical debut opposite her father, while Abhishek Bachchan steps into the role of a formidable antagonist, with Deepika Padukone joining in an extended cameo. Reports earlier suggested a possible postponement while director Siddharth Anand fine-tuned the script, but the film now appears firmly locked for its December 24 release, setting up a massive box-office clash with Avengers: Doomsday.
