1. When I Fly Towards You

This heartwarming romance follows bubbly Zai Zai and the reserved Zhang Lu Rang from their high school years into early adulthood. With minimal conflict and a gentle emotional pace, it’s ideal for viewers who want warmth without the usual drama-heavy tropes of the genre.

2. Love for You

Originally titled “Wild Dog and the Bone,” this slow-burn romance follows Chen Yi and Miao Jing as two people who both put on a tough front to survive, only to find real support in each other. The relationship builds through quiet trust rather than dramatic twists, which is exactly what makes it linger with viewers long after it ends.

3. The Untamed

A modern classic in the C-drama space, this fantasy epic follows a resurrected Wei Wu as he reunites with Lan Wang Ji to unravel a web of murders and hidden villains. Praised for its intricate world-building, stylish visuals, and breakout lead performances, it’s often recommended as an entry point into the genre for newcomers who enjoy suspense-driven storytelling.

4. Speed and Love

This one blends romance, boxing, and high-speed racing into a single addictive package. It follows a woman searching for her long-lost adopted brother, only to discover he’s now living life as a race driver. The pacing never slows down, making it an easy, entertaining binge from start to finish.

5. Go Go Squid!

A nostalgic favorite for many, this esports-themed rom-com pairs a cool, focused pro gamer with a spirited programming student. Their chemistry carries the show, offering a fresher spin on competitive gaming stories that still holds up as a beginner-friendly pick.

6. Go Ahead

Known as the original series behind the K-drama “Family by Choice,” this family drama follows three unrelated kids who grow up together as siblings. It captures the warmth of everyday family life — shared meals, small arguments, and quiet loyalty — while slowly deepening into more emotional territory as their pasts catch up with them.

Which One Should You Watch First?

If you want something light and sweet, start with When I Fly Towards You. Craving action and mystery? The Untamed is the definitive pick. And if slice-of-life family stories are more your speed, Go Ahead delivers real emotional payoff.
