Sun Qian has quietly become one of C-dramas most versatile leading ladies, and her breakout role as Flora in The Early Spring only scratches the surface. From messy office romances to survival thrillers, she’s built a filmography that refuses to stay in one lane. If you’re new to her work — or just want more — here are five dramas that show exactly why she’s worth following.

1. The Early Spring
Sun Qian plays Flora, an ambitious rookie at a top Beijing ad agency who clashes with — then falls for — her cold, brilliant boss Luke (Jing Bo Ran). What starts as a one-night stand spirals into an emotionally messy relationship built on poor communication, heartbreak, and reconciliation. Fans loved it for how real the couple’s flaws felt, and the chemistry between Sun Qian and Jing Bo Ran carries the entire show.

2. Love Story in the 1970s
Here, Sun Qian’s Fei Ni is confident and in control — the opposite of Flora. After missing her shot at college, she cares for wounded soldier Fang Mu Yang (Arthur Chen), not realizing he’s secretly loved her since middle school. Their marriage of convenience slowly blossoms into genuine love, making this a tender, slow-burn watch about growth and quiet devotion.

3. The Islands
Playing Tao Shu Na, the youngest of three generations of women in one household, Sun Qian brings vulnerability to a story about family expectations versus personal freedom. Her sweet, easygoing romance with Zhang Xiao Yan (Chen Jing Ke) offers a refreshing contrast to the tension simmering elsewhere in the family.

4. Love Song in Winter
Sun Qian plays Lu Yan, an anesthesiologist whose past collides with her present when ex-boyfriend-turned-detective Jiang Cheng Yi (Johnny Huang) reenters her life during a murder investigation. It’s a compelling mix of romance and mystery, with unresolved emotional baggage adding extra tension to the case.

5. 19th Floor
A total genre shift — Sun Qian’s Chun Yu wakes up after a bus crash trapped in a deadly survival game. Alongside fellow player Gao Xuan (Wei Zhe Ming), she must outlast a series of dangerous challenges while uncovering the truth. It’s tense, suspenseful, and shows off a grittier side of her acting.

Whether you’re drawn to heartfelt romance or edge-of-your-seat suspense, Sun Qian’s filmography has something for every kind of C-drama fan.
