1. Send Help – Sam Raimi’s Survival Horror Masterpiece
Send Help reunites horror legend Sam Raimi with the genre that made him famous. Starring Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien, this survival thriller follows Linda Liddle and her toxic boss Bradley Preston, who crash-land on a deserted island after their plane goes down.
What starts as a fight for survival quickly becomes a psychological battle of wills. Linda, equipped with unexpected survival skills from her Survivor audition days, discovers she’s far more capable than her sexist boss ever imagined. The power dynamics shift dramatically as they navigate both the island’s dangers and their workplace grievances.
According to Wikipedia, the film has received glowing reviews with a 93% rating on Rotten Tomatoes from 55 critics. Early reactions praise McAdams’ “career-best performance” and Raimi’s return to form with his signature blend of horror, humor, and gore.
2. The Moment – Charli XCX’s Meta Musical Journey
The Moment offers a self-aware, satirical look at pop stardom through Charli XCX’s unique lens. This A24 mockumentary, based on an original idea by the “Brat” singer herself, blends real footage from her tour with fictional backstage chaos.
Charli plays a heightened version of herself preparing for her first arena tour while navigating fame, creative pressure, and industry demands. The star-studded cast includes Alexander Skarsgård, Rachel Sennott, Kate Berlant, Jamie Demetriou, and even Kylie Jenner in her acting debut.
Directed by Aidan Zamiri (who previously worked on Charli’s “360” and “Guess” music videos), the film premiered at Sundance 2026 and combines comedy, drama, and insider commentary on the music industry.
