Most-Banned Heroes in Marvel Rivals (March 2025) – Full List

The following table summarizes the top 10 most-banned heroes in Marvel Rivals for Season 1.5, based on data from @RivalsMeta.

Why These Heroes Are the Most Banned

Wolverine – The Ultimate Duelist

Wolverine tops the list with a ban rate of 42.60%, making him the most feared hero in Marvel Rivals Season 1.5. His high burst damage, self-healing, and ability to dismantle enemy formations make him a nightmare for tanks and supports. His mobility and lethal close-range combat skills allow him to isolate and eliminate enemies with ease. However, his biggest weakness is ranged combat, making long-range heroes like Storm and Winter Soldier his best counters.

Storm – The Aerial Menace

Storm ranks second with a ban rate of 25.51%. Her high mobility, off-angle shooting, and ability to manipulate the battlefield with lightning storms make her a must-ban for many teams. When paired with Thor, the synergy between their electric-based attacks can devastate entire enemy squads.

Winter Soldier – The Lethal Marksman

With a ban rate of 24.16%, Winter Soldier is one of the strongest ranged characters in the game. His Kraken Impact Ultimate deals massive AOE damage, making him a priority target in ranked matches. His bionic arm and sniper-like precision make him highly lethal from a distance.

How to Counter These Banned Heroes

While these heroes dominate the ban list, knowing how to counter them is essential for those who still encounter them in matches. Here are some general strategies:

• Against Wolverine: Use long-range heroes like Storm, Winter Soldier, or Doctor Strange to keep him at bay. Avoid close combat at all costs.
• Against Storm: Since she relies on aerial mobility, use characters with strong anti-air abilities, such as Namor’s turret traps or Hulk’s powerful ground smashes.
• Against Winter Soldier: Mobility is key. Spider-Man and Magik can quickly dodge his attacks and close the gap before he can land precise shots.

Conclusion

The meta in Marvel Rivals Season 1.5 continues to evolve, and these top-banned heroes reflect the most powerful and game-changing characters in the competitive scene. Whether you’re banning these heroes or learning to counter them, understanding their strengths and weaknesses is key to improving your ranked gameplay.
