Third Weekend, Still Dhamaal: Ajay Devgn’s Comedy Nears the Rs. 150 Crore Club

Three weekends in, and “Dhamaal 4” is still finding an audience. Ajay Devgn’s comedy drama collected another Rs. 13 crore over its third weekend, pushing its India total to Rs. 146.50 crore nett — putting the Rs. 150 crore mark firmly within reach this week.

Dhamaal’s Weekend Breakdown

The film added Rs. 6.50 crore on its third Sunday alone, following a steady if noticeably slower pace compared to its blockbuster opening. That’s roughly a 52% drop from the previous weekend’s numbers — a natural decline for a film three weeks into its run, but still enough to keep it firmly in the conversation.

Where “Dhamaal 4” Stands in 2026

Directed by Indra Kumar, “Dhamaal 4” has officially been declared a Clean Hit — only the fourth Bollywood film to earn that tag in 2026, joining “Border 2,” “Dhurandhar: The Revenge,” and “Bhooth Bangla.” Notably, three of those four are franchise films, pushing back against last year’s narrative around franchise fatigue in Hindi cinema.

Based on current trends, trade estimates suggest the film will wrap its theatrical run around the Rs. 160 crore nett mark — comfortably ahead of Akshay Kumar’s “Welcome to the Jungle,” which is expected to close near Rs. 131 crore.

The “Dhamaal” franchise has been a recurring comedy staple in Bollywood since its original 2007 release — you can read more about the franchise’s history on Wikipedia.

What’s Next

With the Rs. 150 crore milestone just days away, “Dhamaal 4” looks set to comfortably outperform its closest genre competition this year, reinforcing that well-executed franchise comedies still have staying power at the Indian box office.
