A New Leading Lady
A source told Pinkvilla that Sini Shetty is stepping in as the leading lady opposite Ishaan. She was a Miss World finalist and is a trained dancer. She reportedly finished a Dharma Productions film in Kashmir earlier this year.
Reports say she beat out other actresses for the part, including Radhika Madan, Alaya F and Nitanshi Goel. She has also reportedly turned down film offers from several banners before choosing Dharma and then this series. Treat all of this as unconfirmed until the makers announce it.
The Love Triangle
The bigger story twist is the core of Season 2. Gurfateh Pirzada, who appeared in Lust Stories 3, will reportedly complete a love triangle with Ishaan and Sini. That should bring a fresh romantic angle to the series after Season 1’s pairing.
A Quick Recap of The Royals Season 1
The first season follows Prince Aviraaj Singh, whose life is upended when his father’s death leaves the family in massive debt. To save the ancestral palace, he reluctantly teams up with Sophia Kanmani Shekhar, an independent tech and hospitality entrepreneur.
She launches Royal BnB, turning the estate into a luxury destination for commoners, and old-world privilege clashes with modern ambition. Bhumi Pednekar co-led, with Sakshi Tanwar, Zeenat Aman, Vihaan Samat, Kavya Trehan and Nora Fatehi in key roles.
What to Watch For?
The makers haven’t confirmed any of this, so official announcements are the thing to watch. If the reports hold, Season 2 will feel quite different from its predecessor. For more streaming updates, browse our latest entertainment coverage.
