In its fourth week, the drama recorded both its lowest and highest ratings on the same day. Episode 7 dipped to a personal low of 3.1%, down 1.9 points from the previous week’s 5.0%. Then episode 8 bounced back to a nationwide average of 5.9%, a new personal best.

Meanwhile, ENA’s Monday-Tuesday drama Between Steps has arrived with a 1.8% premiere. Ratings are only a first impression, though, and this one has plenty going for it.

It’s a romance from the late director Ahn Pan Seok, the filmmaker behind Something in the Rain, One Spring Night and The Midnight Romance in Hagwon. The story follows Park Min Jae (Choo Young Woo), a former swimmer who lost his right leg to illness. He meets Im Yoo Jin (Kim So Hyun), a graduate student searching for a new path after losing her way.

Why This Matters?

A jump from 3.1% to 5.9% in a single night shows how much word of mouth and a strong episode can lift a drama. If momentum holds, The Ordinary Jackpot could keep climbing in the weeks ahead.
