The Obedient Killer: A Perfect Mom, a Secret Code Name, and a Job She Can’t Refuse

Imagine taking a strange new job for one reason: to win your daughter back. That’s the starting point of The Obedient Killer (literal title), TVING’s upcoming noir action drama. On October 29, the full cast was announced, and it’s a strong one.

The Obedient Killer : Overview

The Story

Go Dal Boon leads an ordinary life until her divorce. To regain custody of her daughter, she takes a job at a suspicious organization. She had dreamed of being an ideal wife and mother, but now she’s about to get a code name: Miss Go.

The Team Behind the Camera

The creative team has strong credits:

• Lee Jung Heum directed Inspector Koo, a crime-mystery series.
• Joo Hwa Mi wrote The Atypical Family, known for its quirky family-centered storytelling.
• Kang Eun Kyung created the project and wrote Gyeongseong Creature, a period thriller set in wartime Seoul.

Dark tone, character depth, and a twist or two seem to be the goal.

Why It’s Worth Watching?

The mix of an ordinary mother and a deadly workplace is a promising hook. Add a team led by Jo Bo Ah, a mood maker in Jo Aram, and a mysterious Chief Cha, and you get both tension and humor. Kim Da Mi has a record of tough, emotional roles, which makes the casting feel right.
