Netflix’s crime hit just delivered one of its darkest turns yet. The Gentlemen Season 2 wraps with a shocking family betrayal, a bloody act of revenge, and three central characters heading in very different directions.

The Gentlemen S2: Key Finale Reveals

Reveal	What It Means
Who killed Bella?	Gospel John, manipulating Eddie’s brother Freddy into helping
Freddy’s motive	Resentment over losing the Halstead title and estate to Eddie
Eddie’s mistake	He nearly has Bobby killed in prison before learning the real culprit
Final punishment	Eddie forces Freddy to personally kill Gospel John instead of killing him himself
Where everyone stands	Bobby expands his empire; Eddie returns but on his own terms; Susie builds her own network

How the Truth Comes Out

Believing Bobby Glass was behind the attacks on his family, Eddie enlists Marco Moretti’s help to arrange a prison hit — only for Uncle Stan to reveal Bobby still had financial ties to Eddie, forcing Eddie and Susie to race to stop the assassination before it’s too late. A suspicious phone call from Freddy to Sabrina finally connects the dots: Freddy has secretly been working with Gospel John, the vengeful figure from Season 1, feeding off his own resentment toward Eddie.

The Brutal Final Act

After hearing his brother finally admit his role in Bella’s death, Eddie doesn’t kill Freddy himself. Instead, he ties Gospel John up in a van alongside a chainsaw and forces Freddy to carry out the execution personally — a punishment designed to make Freddy face his own betrayal head-on rather than escape it. Freddy emerges from the van covered in blood, alive, but forever changed.

Where the Story Goes From Here

By the finale, Bobby envisions an expanding criminal empire across Europe, Eddie is back in business but refuses to answer to anyone, and Susie is quietly cultivating relationships and supply lines that belong to her alone. With Season 3 already confirmed, the fallout from Freddy’s brutal act — and Eddie’s darker, more ruthless evolution — sets up plenty of unresolved tension ahead.

Conclusion

The Gentlemen Season 2 trades its usual charm for real emotional stakes, closing out with betrayal, brutal justice, and a fractured Horniman family. Season 3 looks set to explore just how far Eddie’s transformation will go.
