Korean dramas closed out the night on a strong note. “The Apartment Job” wrapped its JTBC run with the highest ratings of its entire series, while “Spooky in Love” climbed to a new personal best just ahead of its final week — and “Love on the Menu” kept its Sunday crown, too.
Nielsen Korea remains the industry standard for TV ratings measurement in South Korea — learn more about the methodology on Wikipedia. For more K-drama ratings updates and finale coverage, check out TechnoSports entertainment updates.
The Apartment Job Ratings Snapshot (August 16, 2026)
| Drama | Network | Nationwide Rating | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Apartment Job (finale) | JTBC | 7.7% | Series-high, up over 2 points from prior episode |
| Spooky in Love | tvN | 7.3% | New all-time high; #1 in its time slot across cable |
| Love on the Menu | KBS 2TV | 14.8% | Most-watched show of Sunday |
A Strong Send-Off for “The Apartment Job”
JTBC’s corruption drama couldn’t have asked for a better farewell. The series finale scored a nationwide average of 7.7%, jumping more than two full percentage points from the penultimate episode’s 5.4% the night before. That kind of late surge suggests viewers tuned in en masse to see how the story of Park Hae Kang’s fight against apartment complex corruption ultimately resolved.
“Spooky in Love” Keeps Climbing
Meanwhile, tvN’s romance drama “Spooky in Love” isn’t slowing down as it heads into its final stretch. The latest episode posted a nationwide rating of 7.3%, marking a new series-best and securing the top spot in its time slot across all cable channels — a strong signal heading into the show’s last week on air.
“Love on the Menu” Still Owns Sundays
KBS 2TV’s “Love on the Menu” continued its steady dominance, pulling in a 14.8% nationwide rating and remaining the most-watched program of the night. The show’s consistency underscores just how strong its hold on the Sunday drama slot has been throughout its run.
