Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari Trailer Drops: Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor Navigate Love’s Chaos in This Modern Romance

The much-anticipated Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari Trailer has finally arrived, delivering a vibrant mix of romance, comedy, and wedding chaos that promises to be the perfect festive entertainer. Released on September 15, 2025, the 2-minute 54-second trailer showcases Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor in their second collaboration after Bawaal, this time bringing a fresh twist to the classic tale of love, heartbreak, and second chances.

Plot Overview: When Exes Collide

The Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari Trailer opens with a heartbreak-inducing scene where Varun Dhawan’s character Sunny proposes to Ananya (Sanya Malhotra) in grand Baahubali style, only to face rejection. Meanwhile, Janhvi Kapoor’s Tulsi finds herself similarly devastated when her boyfriend Vikram (Rohit Saraf) ends their relationship.

The plot thickens when the duo discovers that their respective exes are getting married to each other. In a moment of desperation and determination, Sunny and Tulsi devise a plan that would make even the most dramatic Bollywood films proud – they decide to fake a romance to make their exes jealous and potentially break up the wedding.

The Devdas-Paro Connection

What makes this trailer particularly intriguing is its modern take on classic Bollywood romance tropes. In one of the most memorable dialogues from the Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari Trailer, Varun Dhawan’s character directly references the iconic tragic love story: “Devdas aur Paro banke sad songs gaane hain yaa phir apne pyaar ke liye ladna hain” (Should we become like Devdas and Paro singing sad songs, or should we fight for our love?).

This dialogue perfectly encapsulates the film’s approach – instead of wallowing in heartbreak like the tragic characters of yesteryear, these new-age lovers choose to actively fight for their happiness. The reference to Devdas and Paro serves as a clever commentary on how modern romance has evolved from passive suffering to proactive pursuit.

Star-Studded Cast and Crew

Cast Performance Highlights

Varun Dhawan brings his signature charm and comic timing to Sunny, a character who refuses to accept defeat in love. His performance in the trailer showcases both vulnerability and determination, making for a compelling protagonist.

Janhvi Kapoor shines as Tulsi Kumari, a primary school teacher whose heartbreak transforms into fierce determination. Her chemistry with Varun Dhawan is evident even in the trailer’s brief glimpses, promising audiences a romantic journey worth watching.

The supporting cast, including Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, Maniesh Paul, and Akshay Oberoi, adds depth to the ensemble, creating a well-rounded romantic comedy that promises multiple layers of entertainment.

Visual Spectacle and Musical Elements

The Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari Trailer showcases the grandeur of a big fat Indian wedding, complete with vibrant costumes, elaborate decorations, and energetic dance sequences. The film promises to be a visual treat with its colorful palette and festive atmosphere.

The musical elements already released suggest a soundtrack that will dominate wedding playlists. “Bijuria,” reimagined by Tanishk Bagchi and performed by Sonu Nigam, has already become a social media sensation, while “Panwadi” promises to be the ultimate celebration anthem.

Technical Excellence

Production Quality

Director Shashank Khaitan, known for his work on “Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania” and “Badrinath Ki Dulhania,” brings his expertise in crafting family entertainers that resonate across generations. His collaboration with Janhvi Kapoor dates back to “Dhadak,” ensuring a comfortable working relationship that translates to on-screen chemistry.

Box Office Expectations

Given the festive release date of October 2, 2025 (Dussehra), and the star power of Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor, industry experts predict a strong opening for the film. The successful track record of Dharma Productions in the family entertainer space, combined with the proven appeal of the lead pair’s previous collaboration in “Bawaal,” sets high expectations for the film’s commercial performance.

The Evolution of Bollywood Romance

What sets the Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari Trailer apart is its modern approach to traditional romance narratives. Unlike the passive, suffering lovers of classic Bollywood cinema (epitomized by Devdas and Paro), this film’s protagonists take charge of their destiny. They don’t merely pine for their lost loves; they devise strategies, take risks, and actively work toward their goals.

This shift represents a broader evolution in Bollywood storytelling, where characters are more agency-driven and less resigned to fate. The film appears to celebrate this change while still honoring the emotional depth and dramatic flair that makes Bollywood romance special.

Cultural Impact and Social Media Buzz

Since its release, the Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari Trailer has generated significant buzz across social media platforms. The film’s dialogues, particularly the Devdas-Paro reference and the humorous exchanges between the lead characters, have become instant meme material and talking points among fans.

The wedding-centric theme resonates particularly well with Indian audiences, as the film promises to capture the joy, chaos, and emotional complexity of Indian wedding celebrations. This cultural authenticity, combined with modern storytelling sensibilities, positions the film to strike a chord with both traditional and contemporary audiences.

The Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari Trailer presents a promising blend of comedy, romance, and drama that could make it one of the standout entertainers of 2025. With Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor leading a talented ensemble cast, the film appears ready to deliver the perfect mix of laughter, tears, and celebration that audiences expect from a Dharma Productions family entertainer.

As the film gears up for its October 2 release, it stands poised to offer audiences a fresh take on love, relationships, and the lengths people go to for happiness. Whether Sunny and Tulsi succeed in their mission to win back their exes, or discover something even better in each other, remains the compelling question that will draw audiences to theaters this festive season.
