“Summer Vacation” Premiere Date Confirmed: Cho Yi Hyun & Jin Young’s Long-Awaited Romance Drama Finally Arrives October 26 on Wavve

Some dramas take years to see the light of day — and when they finally do, the wait somehow makes them feel even more special. That’s exactly the story behind “Summer Vacation,” the nostalgic teen romance starring Cho Yi Hyun and Jin Young, which has just dropped its first posters along with a long-awaited premiere date.

What’s “Summer Vacation” About?

The drama follows Kim Ha Yeon (Cho Yi Hyun), an ordinary 18-year-old high school girl who experiences something mysterious and magical during her summer vacation, before eventually returning to reality. Jin Young plays Jo Yu Gyeom, a boy her age who becomes part of this extraordinary journey. Think coming-of-age nostalgia mixed with a touch of fantasy — the kind of story that lingers long after the credits roll.

Interestingly, this isn’t a freshly shot project. “Summer Vacation” began filming back in 2022 and wrapped production in 2023, but its release date remained uncertain for years — until now.

Summer Vacation: Overview

What Do The Posters Reveal?

The newly released posters lean fully into warm, nostalgic summer imagery. In the first, Jin Young embraces a solemn-looking Cho Yi Hyun as they stand among pink muhly grass — a visual instantly associated with wistful, youthful romance. In the second, he gently cups her face, the two appearing just moments away from a kiss.

The tagline sums up the mood perfectly: “An ordinary summer at 18… An unbelievably magical story.” It’s a clear signal that this drama is banking on emotional nostalgia paired with a touch of the extraordinary.

Why Fans Are Excited?

Both leads bring strong followings to the table — Cho Yi Hyun has built a reputation for grounded, relatable performances, while Jin Young continues to expand his acting range beyond his music career. With years of anticipation finally paying off, “Summer Vacation” looks set to strike an emotional chord with romance drama fans this October.
