Summer Vacation Teaser: Jin Young, Cho Yi Hyun and Hong Ye Ji Spark a Fiery Teen Love Triangle in the Village of Upo

Summer romances are supposed to be sweet and simple. This one, however, comes with a dramatic twist: a mysterious village, a boy trapped by family rules, and a girlfriend who is ready to fight. The new teaser and character posters for Summer Vacation have just dropped, and the love triangle already looks gripping.

Summer Vacation: Overview

A Summer That Changes Everything

Kim Ha Yeon is an everyday student who dreams of escaping reality and becoming the lead character in her own life. Her chance arrives when she joins her father on a business trip to the quiet village of Upo. During that summer vacation, she has a mysterious experience before eventually returning to the real world.

It is in Upo that she meets Jo Yu Gyeom. He lives a monotonous life, feeling trapped by the strict rules of his traditional family. Two young people, both longing for something more, cross paths, and the story begins.

The Posters: Eyes That Say It All

The newly released character posters capture two moments in which the leads lock eyes in Upo. The tagline hints that this encounter will matter for a lifetime, suggesting their meeting was fated. It is a dreamy, nostalgic look, and it sets the emotional tone beautifully.

The Teaser: Trouble in Paradise

If the posters are the dream, the teaser is the reality check. It opens with Ha Yeon confronting Yu Gyeom about why he acted so close to her when he already had a girlfriend. He fires back that she was the one who approached first. Tension, right from the start.

Then he warns her to be careful around his girlfriend, Sung Sae Ryung. That warning proves wise, because Sae Ryung wastes no time. She threatens Ha Yeon openly and declares that she will take Yu Gyeom away, whatever it takes. Despite all this, Ha Yeon refuses to back down. She vows to be the one who saves Yu Gyeom, and says he will save her as well.

Why You Should Watch?

This is not just another school romance. The rivalry gives the story real stakes, while the setting and the fated-meeting theme add a touch of mystery. Teen dramas live or die on chemistry and emotion, and this trio seems ready to deliver both.

B1A4’s Jin Young leads as Yu Gyeom, and fans of the group will be excited to see him in a romantic role. While you wait, you can watch him in Love in the Moonlight: Redrawn and see Hong Ye Ji in Missing Crown Prince, both on Viki.
