Stupa Sports Secures Multi-Year Competition Management Deal with Table Tennis New Zealand

Stupa Sports, a global AI-powered sports technology and analytics firm, has been appointed as the Official Competition Management Partner for Table Tennis New Zealand (TTNZ) in a multi-year strategic agreement. The partnership involves Stupa Sports deploying its “whole-of-sport” Competition Management Platform across New Zealand, aiming to establish an integrated digital infrastructure for the sport’s governance, competition delivery, and stakeholder experience.

This collaboration signifies TTNZ’s move towards digital transformation, leveraging Stupa Sports’ technology to modernize table tennis operations from local clubs to national events.

Stupa Sports: Platform Features and Implementation

The platform incorporates eleven enterprise-grade modules tailored to TTNZ’s operational requirements. These include Tournament and League Management, Live Scoring and Real-Time Match Data, Membership and Licensing Management, and an Automated Ranking and Rating System. Additional features comprise an Online Entry Registration System with integrated payment gateways, role-based User Management, and a Sub-Licensing Framework designed for revenue generation. The system also supports secure Payment Processing, Third-Party System Integration, and platform customization.

A central component of the agreement is the Sub-Licensing Framework, which will enable TTNZ to generate revenue by licensing the platform to Regional Associations and clubs. This mechanism aims to standardize operations across New Zealand’s table tennis ecosystem while providing TTNZ with new commercial opportunities.

Ms. Megha Gambhir, Co-founder & CEO of Stupa Sports(https://stupasports.ai/), stated that the deployment represents the creation of a comprehensive digital backbone for a national federation. She indicated that all aspects of New Zealand table tennis, from player registrations to live match data and revenue management, would operate on a single, unified platform.

Ms. Izania Downie, CEO of Table Tennis New Zealand, noted that the integrated platform would connect every level of the sport, simplifying competition and membership management. She also highlighted the potential for new revenue opportunities to support the sport’s growth nationwide.

Impact on Table Tennis Administration

The Tournament and League Management module provides solutions for event creation, scheduling, match tracking, and automated result processing. Live Scoring and Match Data capabilities will offer real-time updates to players, coaches, and fans. The Membership and Licensing Management module will streamline player licensing and membership tracking, ensuring compliance with governing body requirements. Furthermore, the Ranking and Rating Management system will automate player rating calculations based on performance metrics.

This integration is expected to standardize the table tennis ecosystem in New Zealand, streamline event operations, and establish new revenue streams for TTNZ, marking a shift in the sport’s administration and expansion in the country.

Stupa Sports continues to expand its presence in the global sports technology sector.
