Getting Started with Street Fighter 6

Choosing the Right Character

Picking a character is one of the most important decisions for any newcomer. Each fighter in Street Fighter 6 comes with unique abilities, strengths, and weaknesses. If you’re just starting out, consider choosing easier characters like Ryu or Luke. Their straightforward moves and combos can significantly impact your initial learning curve and overall enjoyment.

Importance of Training Mode

After you’ve selected a character, it’s time to get to know their moves. Training mode acts as your personal dojo. Here, you can practice combos, learn special moves, and get a feel for timing—all without the pressure of a real match. Using this mode will enhance your understanding of your character’s capabilities and get you ready for actual battles.

Understanding Gameplay Mechanics

Basic Controls and Combos

Grasping the basic controls is essential. Street Fighter 6 uses a standard control scheme that includes punches, kicks, and directional inputs. Taking the time to learn these controls lets you execute combos more smoothly. Start with simple combos and gradually work your way to more complex sequences as you gain confidence.

Special Moves and Super Arts

Special moves and Super Arts can change the game in a match. These moves require specific button combinations but can deal serious damage. Learning how to pull these off effectively can make a big difference in your gameplay. Be sure to practice these moves in training mode until they become second nature.
