Spirit’s Cast Puzzle Gets a New Piece: Katrina Kaif?

First Deepika Padukone walked away. Then Triptii Dimri stepped in. Now, just as Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s “Spirit” seemed settled, a fresh name is being floated for a surprise role opposite Prabhas — and it’s a big one.

Spirit Update Snapshot

What’s Reportedly Happening

Industry buzz suggests Vanga is considering Katrina Kaif for a brief but pivotal cameo — one arriving at what’s being described as a major turning point in the story. Her screen time may be limited, but sources indicate the character’s placement is designed to be one of the film’s bigger surprises rather than a throwaway extended cameo.

Why This Would Be a Big Deal

If it materializes, this wouldn’t just be another guest appearance on Katrina’s résumé. It would mark her return to Telugu cinema after nearly two decades, following her early Tollywood roles in films opposite Venkatesh and Nandamuri Balakrishna. Pairing that comeback with a Vanga-directed, Prabhas-led action thriller is the kind of casting news that tends to move the needle for a film already running on high anticipation.

The Bigger Picture: A Cast Still in Motion

Spirit has already been through one major cast shake-up with Deepika Padukone’s exit and Triptii Dimri’s entry as the female lead. Adding Katrina Kaif into the mix — even briefly — would be the second significant casting shift the project has seen, underlining just how much attention every update around this film continues to draw ahead of its theatrical release.
