Everyone’s talking about VisionQuest. But Marvel’s very next Disney+ release is a lot smaller, a lot cuter, and arrives sooner.

What’s the Special About?

It’s a Halloween crossover between Spidey and His Amazing Friends and Iron Man and his Awesome Friends. Spidey, Iron Man and other Avengers team up against a shared foe, all in a kid-friendly spooky-season adventure.

It’s also a kind of backdoor pilot. The special leads into Avengers: Mightiest Friends, a Disney Jr. series arriving in 2027.

Good to know: these shows sit outside the MCU, so they have nothing to do with Daredevil: Born Again, Spider-Man: Brand New Day or X-Men ’97. And VisionQuest, with Paul Bettany and James Spader, doesn’t debut until October 14.

Why Kids’ Marvel Shows Matter?

The Direct’s take is that these shows do real work for the brand:

• Spidey and his Amazing Friends is among Disney+’s most-streamed titles, reportedly more than any MCU show.
• They’re an entry point. Young viewers can’t watch mature series yet, but they can get familiar with the characters early.
• Fewer, better shows. Marvel Television now treats each series like traditional TV, with a showrunner and standard TV processes. That has improved quality.

The article also says Daredevil: Born Again and Punisher: One Last Kill proved there’s demand for mature, TV-MA Marvel stories too. So kids’ and adult content can both thrive.

Should You Watch?

If you have young fans at home, yes, it’s a fun seasonal watch. For everyone else, it’s a light appetizer before Marvel’s heavier fall lineup.
