Spider-Verse 3’s Trailer Unveils Its 6 Big Marvel Villains

Miles Morales has faced tough enemies before. But in Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, some of them look uncomfortably familiar, and a few are even on his side of the multiverse.

Spider-Verse 3: Release Date and Villain Lineup

Sony Animation’s third Spider-Verse film is set for June 18, 2027. It picks up where Across the Spider-Verse left off, with Miles stranded on Earth-42 and Gwen Stacy assembling a team of Spider-variants to find him. Reports from the CinemaCon footage revealed these six antagonists:

What the Footage Shows?

• Miles G. and Aaron Davis: Miles G. captures the original Miles and interrogates him. The two argue about how to pronounce their shared last name. Aaron arms himself with a charged hand weapon and chuckles at the idea of a Spider-Man. The clip ends with Miles breaking free with his electrical powers.
• Kingpin: He’s spotted in front of a machine that resembles the Spot’s effects. It’s unclear whether he’s the same Kingpin as before.
• The Spot: Black energy bursts outward in all directions, suggesting he’s gaining power or losing control.
• Miguel and Lyla: Miguel hunts Miles to stop him from preventing the canon event that would kill his father. Portals open across New York, hinting at a bigger crisis.

Why This Villain Lineup Feels Different?

Rather than one big new enemy, this film mostly uses characters already tied to Miles or the Spider-Verse saga. That makes the fight more personal. Miguel and Miles G. challenge what it means to be Spider-Man, so Miles may have to overcome beliefs and people, not just overpower a monster.
