What Happens in the Finale?

Throughout Spider-Noir Season 1, the antidote represented freedom. For Ben, it was a chance to finally leave behind the burden of being The Spider. For Silvermane, it was a way to control or eliminate the unstable superpowered people working inside his criminal empire. By the finale, almost every remaining character wanted control of the antidote.

Silvermane’s men track down Ben and take him away since he was the only person with a connection to The Spider. Robbie Robertson then helps protect his identity by secretly posing as The Spider during a dangerous confrontation with Silvermane’s crew — buying Ben enough time to recover and rejoin the fight.

Does Ben Keep His Powers?

In the finale, Ben is given the chance to eliminate his powers permanently, but chooses not to take the antidote himself. Instead the leftover antidote becomes important to the final struggle between Silvermane, Cat Hardy, Flint and Dirk.

Going over to Cat and Flint, Ben gives them the final remaining cure. “Why?” Cat asks. “You know why,” Ben answers, and walks away through the crowd.

Most of the series shows Ben as a person who wants to get away from all his power and responsibility — but at the end of Spider-Noir, he keeps his powers and continues to be the hero.

What Happens to Silvermane, Dirk and Cat?

The episode confirms the deaths of Dirk Leydon and Silvermane during the final confrontation in New York City. As Leydon approaches to hurt Cat Hardy, Ben webs him up before flinging him into the path of an oncoming train — killed in a splatter of sparks rather than blood.

Cat and Flint continue their romance, Robbie is able to start his own newspaper, and Ben upgrades his PI job, taking on his secretary as a partner. FandomWire

Does Season 2 Have a Future?

As of now, Spider-Noir has not been renewed for a second season, though the strong reception from fans and critics may increase its chances. Showrunner Oren Uziel has spoken publicly about setting a potential Season 2 during World War II, calling the geopolitical canvas of that era “an amazing canvas for any future storytelling.”
