A 125% single-day spike sounds like a comeback, but for “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” it’s really the last gasp before a tougher week ahead. Tom Holland’s superhero film collected Rs. 4.50 crore on its fourth Saturday, nudging its total closer to the Rs. 570 crore gross mark — even as the road to Rs. 600 crore looks increasingly out of reach.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day: The Numbers So Far
| Period | Nett | Gross | Gross (incl. 3D) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Week One | Rs. 324.50 cr | Rs. 393.00 cr | Rs. 431.00 cr |
| Week Two | Rs. 105.75 cr | Rs. 128.00 cr | Rs. 141.00 cr |
| Week Three | Rs. 30.50 cr | Rs. 36.75 cr | Rs. 41.50 cr |
| 4th Friday | Rs. 1.60 cr | Rs. 2.00 cr | Rs. 2.25 cr |
| 4th Saturday | Rs. 3.60 cr | Rs. 4.50 cr | Rs. 5.00 cr |
| Total | Rs. 465.95 cr | Rs. 564.25 cr | Rs. 620.75 cr |
Why Rs 600 Crore Is Looking Unlikely
The film needs roughly Rs. 30 crore more to enter the Rs. 600 crore gross club, and it’s expected to close its fourth weekend around Rs. 10-11 crore, pushing the cume near Rs. 570 crore. The real obstacle is timing — Toxic arrives in cinemas the following weekend, likely cutting into Brand New Day’s remaining screen count just as it needs a final push.

The Records It’s Already Broken
Despite the ceiling ahead, the film has already locked in status as an All-Time Blockbuster — a club that includes only a handful of Hollywood titles in India since Jurassic Park in 1994, such as Titanic, Avatar, and both Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame. It’s also closing in on 2 crore footfalls, a number only Titanic and Avengers: Endgame have crossed in India, and currently sits as the third most-watched Hollywood film in the country with around 1.9 crore admissions.
