So Ji Sub Is Back as a Deadly Dad on a Mission — Agent Kim Reactivated Finally Has a Premiere Date

Mark your calendars, K-Drama fans. One of the most anticipated action dramas of 2026 just locked in its premiere date, and the cast alone is enough to get your heart racing.

What Is Agent Kim Reactivated?

Agent Kim Reactivated is an action revenge drama about Manager Kim (So Ji Sub), the most ordinary dad in the world who becomes the most dangerous man in the world to save his one and only beloved daughter.

Think Taken meets Korean drama energy — and that’s not a bad thing at all.

The drama will be written by Nam Dae Joong of Love Reset and The Last Ride, and directed by Lee Seung Young of Wonderful World, Tracer, and Voice 2, alongside co-director Lee So Eun. That creative team alone is a serious stamp of quality.

Agent Kim Reactivated: Full Cast Breakdown

So Ji Sub stars as the titular Manager Kim — an ordinary employee at a small savings bank who is actually a former North Korean special operative, an elite blacklisted agent whose very existence must remain hidden in the South.

Choi Dae Hoon impressed at the script reading with both his comical and reliable acting, showcasing great chemistry with So Ji Sub and Yoon Kyung Ho. Meanwhile, Joo Sang Wook added great tension with his powerful presence as the villain.

Why This Drama Deserves Your Attention

Three former operatives. Three devoted dads. One explosive revenge mission. The premise of Agent Kim Reactivated taps into the beloved action drama formula — but wraps it in the warmth of fatherhood, which is a combination Korean dramas do better than anyone.
