Every awkward run-in needs the worst possible timing, and this one nails it. tvN’s See You at Work Tomorrow! just released a hilarious sneak peek of its premiere episode, and it’s already setting the tone for the office romance to come.

Based on the popular webtoon, the drama follows Park Ji Hyun as Cha Ji Yoon, an office worker stuck in a career rut, who becomes entangled with her prickly boss Kang Si Woo, played by Seo In Guk, leading her to a fresh start in both her career and love life.

A Painfully Awkward Run-In

The preview opens with a frustrated Cha Ji Yoon standing outside a restaurant, desperately calling someone who isn’t picking up — without noticing that Kang Si Woo has arrived behind her and that she’s blocking his entry.

When a slightly annoyed Kang Si Woo asks if he can enter, Cha Ji Yoon can’t hide her shock and horror at running into him, but she has no choice but to go back inside and resume the bad date she was already on.

Watching the Disaster Unfold

Things only get more painful from there. With Kang Si Woo watching from a distance, Cha Ji Yoon suffers through an awkward conversation full of inane questions and boring stories, internally lamenting, “It’s horrifying enough that I ran into someone from work, but it had to be Kang Si Woo, of all people?”

The cherry on top comes right as her boss is leaving: Cha Ji Yoon’s date reaches out with a napkin to wipe sauce off her face, and Kang Si Woo smirks to himself in amusement as he walks by, leaving her completely mortified.
