According to a recent report by SBS Biz, Samsung has set the date for the unveiling of its highly anticipated Galaxy S24, which will take place on January 17, 2024, in the vibrant city of San Francisco, USA. The company is already in full swing with preparations for this significant event.

Additionally, the report confirms that the Galaxy S23 FE is slated for release in South Korea on December 1, 2023, with an attractive price tag of KRW 800,000 (approximately USD 600). This launch strategy reflects Samsung’s approach to offering an affordable alternative in the South Korean market, considering economic challenges and a slower-paced market environment. It’s noteworthy that it has been three years since Samsung introduced a Fan Edition Galaxy S phone in South Korea, making the Galaxy S23 FE a noteworthy addition to their lineup.

What sets the Samsung Galaxy S24 apart is its tag as an “AI Phone” with Generative AI capabilities, akin to cutting-edge technologies like ChatGPT and Dall-E. This forthcoming series will comprise three distinct models: Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra. In a proactive move, Samsung has already introduced its Exynos 2400 processor, promising remarkable performance enhancements that encompass a swifter GPU and NPU.

One of the key highlights of the Samsung Galaxy S24 is its capacity for on-device AI processing, opening the doors to impressive features such as text-to-image conversion. Notably, the report hints at the incorporation of a titanium frame for the Galaxy S24 Ultra, drawing parallels with the iPhone 15 Pro series and emphasizing the commitment to top-tier build quality and materials.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 series carries significant weight for Samsung, particularly in the face of challenging times. The report also touches upon Samsung’s financial performance in Q3 2023, which reveals a dip in consolidated revenue compared to the previous year. However, the silver lining is the increase in quarterly revenue, largely propelled by robust sales of flagship mobile models and a sustained demand for high-quality displays, with notable improvements in the Device Solutions Division.
