The imminent release of the Samsung Galaxy M55 5G is hinted at by recent online appearances, indicating a potential successor to the Samsung Galaxy M54 5G launched in March of this year. The Galaxy M54 featured an Exynos 1380 SoC and a substantial 6,000mAh battery with 25W wired fast charging support. The alleged Galaxy M55 5G has reportedly been identified on a benchmarking platform, providing insights into its processor and RAM specifications.

According to a report from MySmartPrice, the Samsung Galaxy M55 5G, listed under the model number SM-M556B on the Geekbench website, is anticipated to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC. The benchmark scores reveal 3575 in the single-core test and 11330 in the multicore test. The listing also suggests the inclusion of an Adreno (TM) 644 GPU, 8GB of RAM, and the device running on Android 14-based One UI.

The Galaxy M55 is expected to succeed the Galaxy M54, which is currently available in Blue and Silver color options. The Galaxy M54 did not see a launch in India and is priced in Brazil at BRL 1,799 (approximately ₹30,600) for the 8GB + 128GB variant, while the 256GB variant is listed at BRL 3,499 (approximately ₹59,500).

The Galaxy M54 features a 6.7-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED Plus display with a 120Hz refresh rate, powered by an Exynos 1380 SoC coupled with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. Its triple rear camera setup comprises a 108-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The front camera is equipped with a 32-megapixel sensor.

The device houses a robust 6,000mAh battery with 25W wired fast charging support, although the charging adapter is sold separately. Security features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and connectivity options encompass Wi-Fi 6, 5G, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, Glonass, Beidou, Galileo, NavIC, QZSS, and USB Type-C. With dimensions of 164.9mm x 77.3mm x 8.4mm, the Galaxy M54 weighs 199 grams.
