THE BACKSTORY BEHIND THE SONG
What makes “Chand Dekh Lena” special? It’s not just another romantic track in a war film. The song embodies the heart of Maatrubhumi’s new philosophy.
When the film was retitled from Battle of Galwan to Maatrubhumi: May War Rest In Peace, director Apoorva Lakhia explained the shift on social media. He revealed that while two titles were registered from the start, the journey of filmmaking taught the team something profound: this story was never just about a battle—it’s about humanity, empathy, and the silent wars soldiers fight in their hearts.
The track, paired with Himesh Reshammiya’s composition and Sameer Anjaan’s heartfelt lyrics, captures that emotional core. When Salman Khan tweeted “Maatrubhumi ka yeh gana, Chand dekh lena tumhey hum nazar aayenge,” fans instantly felt the depth.
SALMAN-CHITRANGDA: A FIRST-TIME PAIRING
This marks the debut on-screen chemistry between Salman Khan and Chitrangda Singh. In the teaser, Chitrangda’s character waits anxiously for her soldier husband’s return. When Salman appears, the emotional payoff is palpable—a moment of intimate connection amid the chaos of war.
For Chitrangda, this role serves as her emotional anchor in the film, showcasing why she’s become increasingly crucial in Bollywood narratives. For Salman, it’s a chance to explore vulnerability beyond his action hero persona.
WHAT’S NEXT FOR MAATRUBHUMI?
Full song release is coming soon. After this, Salman Khan has an exciting lineup: he’s reportedly working on a big-scale action film with director Vamsi Paidipally under producer Dil Raju’s banner, with filming set for April 2026. There’s also talk of collaboration with Raj and DK (The Family Man makers) for a superhero action-comedy.
For now, fans are buzzing about the romantic side of Maatrubhumi—because sometimes, a war film’s greatest strength lies in reminding us what soldiers fight for.
