Salman Khan as Jeeva Mahala in Raja Shivaji — Riteish Deshmukh’s Biggest Casting Coup Is Now Official!

The internet has been buzzing for weeks with whispers, and now it’s finally confirmed — Salman Khan will appear in Riteish Deshmukh’s epic historical film Raja Shivaji. The announcement was made live during the grand finale of Bigg Boss Marathi Season 6, and the crowd, along with none other than Abhishek Bachchan, absolutely lost it. Honestly, we don’t blame them!

The Big Reveal: Salman Khan as Jeeva Mahala

Riteish Deshmukh — who serves as director, co-writer, and producer of Raja Shivaji — officially confirmed that Salman Khan will portray Jeeva Mahala, one of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s most legendary and loyal warriors. The moment the announcement dropped on stage, with Genelia Deshmukh and Abhishek Bachchan seated beside him, the room erupted — and Abhishek’s visibly ecstatic reaction quickly became the most viral moment of the evening.

According to insiders, when Riteish approached Salman for the special appearance, Bhai didn’t hesitate for a second, immediately clearing his calendar and dedicating two full days for the role — a testament to the deep bond the two actors share.

Raja Shivaji: The Biggest Ensemble Cast of 2026?

This film isn’t just about two friends collaborating. It’s shaping up to be one of the grandest ensemble casting efforts in recent Indian cinema. Jeeva Mahala, whom Salman will portray, was a real historical figure known for his legendary bravery in protecting the Maratha king — making this cameo carry real weight.

A Friendship That Translates On Screen

This isn’t the first time Salman has shown up for Riteish. The Bhaijaan of Bollywood previously made memorable appearances in Lai Bhaari and Ved, and both times audiences went absolutely crazy. Insiders confirm that the makers are planning something equally — if not more — impactful this time around.

The film, produced simultaneously in Marathi and Hindi, is set for a massive theatrical release on May 1, 2026 — a perfect Labour Day holiday blockbuster. For more updates on big Bollywood releases, stay connected with Technosports.
