The Ryzen Threadripper Pro 5000WX-series workstation-grade CPUs will be available at retail later this year, AMD revealed last week. And today saw the release of the first images of their packages. The photos could indicate that AMD’s most recent workstation CPUs, which include up to 64 cores, will hit stores relatively soon.

According to images of the boxes posted by @momomo us, who typically finds information at numerous stores using complex searching techniques and is usually highly accurate with his findings, AMD’s Threadripper Pro 5000WX-series will come in black boxes with a window.

The Ryzen brand is no longer present on the boxes; now, only the Ryzen emblem and Threadripper Pro moniker are displayed.

This is likely the most startling aspect. The official name of the device is still AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 5000WX; AMD isn’t doing away with the word “Ryzen,” but the artwork on the box will highlight the Threadripper Pro name.

AMD’s top-of-the-line 64-core Ryzen Threadripper Pro 5995WX has an MSRP of $6,499, while the 32-core 5975WX and 24-core 5965WX CPUs have suggested retail prices of $3,299 and $2,399, respectively.

Five CPUs of AMD’s Ryzen Threadripper Pro 5000WX-series family have up to 256MB of L3 cache and 64, 32, 24, 16, or 12 cores, respectively. Based on AMD’s Zen 3 microarchitecture, these CPUs can support eight channels and up to 1TB of DDR4-3200 memory. WRX8 CPU socket-equipped motherboards can use the CPUs.
