Dig is a Roblox game developed by WoozyNate, released on June 28, 2025, and it’s already taking the gaming world by storm. From the creators of the wildly popular Fisch comes this addictive treasure-hunting adventure that combines exploration, boss battles, and serious digging action. Ready to strike digital gold? Let’s dive into everything you need to dominate this underground world.

Unlike typical digging simulators, Dig is an open-world exploration game where players must dig for items, complete quests, defeat bosses, and get rich in levels and XP. Think of it as Fisch’s underground cousin—instead of casting fishing lines, you’re wielding shovels to unearth treasures buried beneath mysterious islands.

The game brilliantly combines the satisfaction of finding rare loot with strategic progression, making every dig feel rewarding while keeping you hooked for hours.

Your Roblox First Steps: Getting Started

When you spawn into Dig, you’ll receive a basic shovel to begin your adventure. Starting a dig is easy. Go to a patch of ground with your shovel and hit LMB. But here’s where strategy comes in—not all ground is created equal.

Essential Starting Tips:

Complete the tutorial quest immediately for valuable early rewards
Focus on upgrading your shovel before exploring too far
Look for high-abundance areas marked by visual cues
Don’t waste time on low-value items early on

Shovel Progression: Your Path to Success

Your shovel determines everything in Dig—the rarity of items you find, digging speed, and your overall success. Focus on major upgrades rather than incremental improvements. Skip from Wooden to Superior, then save for significant stat jumps like Jam or Ruby shovels.

Shovel Tier	Approximate Cost	Key Benefits	Recommended Level
Basic Shovel	Free (Starting)	Learns the basics	Level 1+
Superior Shovel	~5,000 Doolars	Significant upgrade	Level 5+
Industrial Shovel	~25,000 Doolars	Enhanced digging power	Level 10+
Jam Shovel	~100,000 Doolars	Major stat boost	Level 15+
Ruby Shovel	~250,000 Doolars	High-tier performance	Level 20+
Prismatic Shovel	~450,000 Doolars	Near end-game power	Level 25+

Note: Prices may vary based on game updates

Best Money-Making Strategies

Making Doolars efficiently is crucial for progression. Here are proven methods that work:

Early Game (Levels 1-10):

Dig in abundance-rich areas near spawn
Focus on quantity over quality initially
Complete simple quests for guaranteed rewards
Sell everything—even common items add up

Mid Game (Levels 10-20):

Try farming Pine Trees at coordinates: X= 3951, Y= 1124, -3214
Target legendary items with improved shovels
Explore different islands for varied loot
Start being selective about which items to keep

Late Game (Level 20+):

Focus on rare and legendary items only
Utilize charms and modifiers effectively
Participate in boss battles for premium rewards
Consider the Loot Pit for modifier gambling

Essential Game Mechanics

Understanding these core systems will accelerate your progress significantly:

Abundance System: Digging in a bigger area of abundance gives you more space to dig while the holes are repairing. Look for areas with visual indicators of high treasure density.

Stamina Management: Each shovel has different stamina costs. Plan your digging sessions around your stamina bar to maximize efficiency.

Item Modifiers: Special modifiers like Hot (1.25x value) and Rusty (1.15x value) can significantly boost your earnings.

Advanced Tips for Faster Progress

Once you’ve mastered the basics, these strategies will set you apart:

Island Exploration: Each island offers unique shovels and treasures. Don’t get stuck on the starting island—explore early and often.

Quest Prioritization: While digging is fun, quests provide structured progression and guaranteed rewards. Balance both activities.

Boss Preparation: Boss battles require specific strategies and equipment. Research boss patterns before engaging.

Community Engagement: Join the Dig community to stay updated on best farming spots and new strategies.

Common Beginner Mistakes to Avoid

Learning from others’ mistakes saves time and frustration:

Don’t buy every shovel: Skip incremental upgrades and save for major improvements
Avoid low-abundance areas: Time is money—dig where treasures are plentiful
Don’t ignore quests: They provide valuable XP and rewards
Stop hoarding common items: Sell regularly to fund better equipment

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Should I buy every shovel as I level up, or skip to better ones?

A: Skip incremental upgrades and save for major improvements. Focus on significant stat jumps like going from Wooden directly to Superior, then saving for high-tier shovels like Jam or Ruby. This approach is more cost-effective and accelerates your progression faster than buying every available shovel.

Q: What’s the difference between Dig and Dig It on Roblox?

A: These are completely different games. Dig (by WoozyNate, released June 28, 2025) is the new treasure-hunting game from the Fisch creators, while Dig It is an older, separate digging game.
