A New Host Takes Charge

The biggest shake-up this season is at the top: former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag steps in as host, replacing Ashneer Grover, who fronted the debut season. It’s a notable pivot from Grover’s sharp, business-honed persona to Sehwag’s larger-than-life sporting charisma — and fans are already curious to see how he handles the show’s cutthroat power games.

Who’s In the Cast So Far?

Four contestants have been officially confirmed out of the 15-member lineup:

Swara Bhasker — actor known for Tanu Weds Manu and Veere Di Wedding
Shehzad Poonawalla — political commentator and TV personality
Priyanka Chahar Choudhary — reality TV favorite, second runner-up on Bigg Boss 16
Karan Patel — familiar television actor entering as himself

Eleven more names are yet to be revealed, with fresh announcements expected right up to premiere day.

How Does the Show Work?

Rise and Fall’s format is simple but ruthless: contestants split into Rulers, who live in a luxurious penthouse and control decisions, and Workers, confined to a basement and forced to earn their way up. Positions shift constantly based on strategy, alliances, and performance — making every episode a fresh power struggle.

What Happened in Season 1?

Season 1 became a massive hit for MX Player, ultimately won by television actor Arjun Bijlani, with Aarush Bhola as first runner-up and Arbaz Patel as second runner-up. Bijlani took home ₹28.1 lakh in prize money — a bar Season 2 contestants will be eager to beat.
