Realme has teased the launch of a new flagship phone under the “Ultra” moniker at MWC 2025, which begins on March 3. The teaser image reveals a large circular camera module and curved edges. Now more details about the Realme Ultra’s camera capabilities have been revealed via new promotional images.

Realme Ultra Flagship Teased for MWC 2025 with 1-Inch Sony Sensor, 10x Optical Zoom, and DSLR-Level Camera

According to a new teaser from Realme Global, the phone will sport a custom Sony 1-inch sensor with HyperImage+ technology, and while it is clear that this is a specially designed Sony sensor, its specific marketing name is not mentioned. Another teaser mentions 10x optical telephoto zoom, an f/1.4 to f/1.5 aperture, and a focal length between 73mm and 234mm. An earlier teaser image of the Realme Ultra revealed that the circular camera module will feature a rectangular telephoto lens in the Center. It has a dual-tone design with the Realme logo on the bottom left corner.

The latest teaser is a 10x portrait photograph comparison between the Realme Ultra and two high-end unnamed flagship phones shared by Realme VP Chase Xu. The image from Realme Ultra was sharp and detailed. At the same time, a teaser video features a top executive snapping photos with the device and asserting that it provides a “true DSLR-level smartphone camera.” The video also hints that the phone will come with slightly curved edges on the front.

Although Realme has not confirmed specific details, some reports indicate that the Ultra phone may be a concept device — a way to show off the company’s newest camera tech, perhaps a new telephoto approach. If accurate, the phone may never reach consumers; but since Realme has yet to confirm, be cautious about taking this speculation at face value. In addition to the Realme Ultra, the Realme 14 Pro series has been confirmed for an MWC 2025 debut. As for the devices themselves, the upcoming lineup confirmed in this announcement includes Realme 14 Pro and Realme 14 Pro+, both arriving in India starting at ₹24,999 and ₹29,999, respectively.
