Realme is gearing up to launch the GT 7 and GT 7T smartphones in India on May 27th. Ahead of the official release, the Amazon listing has already revealed the design and colour options. Now, the company has revealed some of the most important details regarding the battery capacity and charging mechanism provided by these upcoming phones.

Realme GT 7 Series to Launch on May 27 in India with 7,000mAh Battery, 120W Charging and Dimensity 9300+ Chip

The upcoming Realme GT 7 series will have a huge 7,000mAh battery, which represents a vast increase from the GT 6’s 5,500mAh battery. This large battery will support 120W fast wired charging. Realme also assures top-tier safety, with protective measures implemented both at the cell and overall device levels.

Working in association with the world-renowned global testing and certification agency TÜV Rheinland, Realme has launched a white paper, which is headlined as “The Future of Battery Tech”. This document discusses ongoing challenges in smartphone battery development, such as material degradation and limitations in lithium-ion battery energy density. It also explores upcoming innovations, including 320W ultra-fast charging capable of charging a device in roughly 4 minutes and 30 seconds through magnetic-coupling DCX step-down technology.

The paper further details advancements like multi-cell battery setups, AI-powered battery management systems, and sophisticated thermal control mechanisms. In terms of the hardware, the Realme GT 7 will come with a graphene-based IceSense cooling with 360‐degree high‐efficiency heat dissipation. The device also features ‘Skin-Touch Temperature Control’, which means the product’s surface temperature varies with changes in environmental temperature and ensures comfort by keeping it cool in hot weather and staying warm in cold weather.

Realme promises the phone will support a stable 120fps gaming experience for up to six hours. The rear camera module of the GT 7 will adopt a square shape, which may incorporate a triple lens system. The smartphone may be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset and 12GB RAM, according to a listing on Geekbench.

The phone is being launched in IceSense Blue and IceSense Black. There are rumours that the Indian version of the Realme GT 7 may be a rebranded Realme Neo 7, which launched in China in December with a starting price of CNY 2,199 (approximately ₹25,800), but with enhancements in charging speed. For comparison, the Realme GT 6 was launched in India at ₹40,999.
