Realme has launched the Realme GT 6T in India as part of its GT series announced back after Realme had first teased this phone. The new smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC and will be competing with OnePlus Nord CE, Samsung Galaxy A52s, and Google Pixel 5.

Design and Build

The Realme GT 6T is a nano-mirror design with an IP65 rating, it has dimensions of 8.65mm and weighs 191 grams in Razor Green and Fluid Silver colors. The Motorola Edge 50 Pro uses a vegan leather finish that has a higher IP68 protection level, comes in Black Beauty, Luxe Lavender, and Moonlight Pearl, and has an 8.19 mm thickness and 186 grams weight.

Display

The Realme GT 6T uses a 6.78-inch 3D curved AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and an 8T LTPO 120Hz refresh rate, which combines 6000 nits peak brightness, 2160Hz PWM dimming, and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. In contrast, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro features a 6.7-inch curved pOLED PANTONE-validated display with 1.5K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate, which has 2000 nits peak brightness, DCI-P3 color gamut, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

Performance

Underneath, the Realme GT 6T comes with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage, accompanied by 10,000mm² cooling area and 9-layer Iceberg Vapour Cooling System. On the other hand, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and options for storage including virtual RAM expansion support.

Software

The Realme GT 6T runs on Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14, Up to three years of OP system updates and four years of security patch updates Motorola Edge 50 Pro, on the other hand, runs Hello UI also built atop Android 14 with the same update policy.

Cameras

The Realme GT 6T showcases a dual-rear camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor and an 8MP ultrawide camera, along with a 32MP selfie camera. On the other hand, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro boasts a triple rear camera system, comprising a 50MP primary camera, a 13MP ultrawide camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera, coupled with a 50MP selfie camera.

Battery and Charging

The Realme GT 6T houses a 5,500mAh battery supporting 120W SuperVOOC fast charging, accompanied by a 120W GaN charger. In contrast, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro packs a 4,500mAh battery with support for 125W wired fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging, although it ships with a slower 68W charger.
