What’s the Story?

Moments after surviving the Le Domas family’s deadly game, Grace discovers she’s reached the next level of the nightmarish game — and this time with her estranged sister Faith at her side. Four rival families are now hunting her for a powerful throne, and whoever wins rules it all. Wikipedia

Think of it as the first film’s chaos turned up to eleven, with global secret societies and a seat of ultimate power on the line. It’s dark, it’s funny, and it looks absolutely wild.

Ready or Not 2 Cast — Old Faces and Exciting New Additions

The sequel stars Samara Weaving alongside Kathryn Newton, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Elijah Wood, and David Cronenberg. Expand that with Shawn Hatosy, Néstor Carbonell, Kevin Durand, and Olivia Cheng, and you’ve got one of horror-comedy’s most stacked ensembles in years.

The fact that horror legend David Cronenberg is in the cast alone should tell you this film is not messing around.

Production Journey — From Idea to Screen

The sequel was announced at a special screening of the original Ready or Not in October 2024. Principal photography kicked off in Toronto on April 21, 2025, and wrapped on June 2, 2025. The release date shifted from April 10, then March 27, before landing on March 20, 2026.

The entire creative team from the original — directors, writers, and key crew — returned for this installment, which is always a great sign for continuity and quality.
