Rakasa OTT Release: All the Key Details at a Glance

What Is Rakasa About?

Rakasa is a breezy, one-of-a-kind fantasy horror comedy that blends supernatural chaos with laugh-out-loud situations. The story follows Veeru, a young man who returns from the United States hoping to marry his childhood sweetheart — only to discover she is about to wed someone else. His desperate and failed attempts to stop the wedding lead him to fall asleep near an abandoned, allegedly haunted fort. What happens to him that night — and the supernatural challenges that follow — forms the spine of this entertaining ride.

It is the kind of film that doesn’t take itself too seriously, and fans on social media have already dubbed it a proper summer blockbuster.

Cast & Crew

Rakasa stars Sangeeth Shobhan (known from MAD) as the lead, with Nayan Sarika as the female lead. The ensemble cast includes beloved names like Vennela Kishore, Brahmaji, Tanikella Bharani, Getup Srinu, and Ashish Vidyarthi — a lineup practically guaranteed to land every comic punch. Music is composed by Anudeep Dev, and the film is produced by Niharika Konidela under Pink Elephant Pictures.

The film is directed by Manasa Sharma, marking an exciting step for the director in the genre space.

If you enjoy Telugu comedies with a supernatural twist — the kind that don’t overdo the horror but keep the laughs alive throughout — Rakasa is tailor-made for a fun May watch. With a strong ensemble, a relatable premise, and a light-hearted tone, it makes for perfect OTT viewing. For more OTT and South Indian entertainment updates, head over to technosports.co.in.
