Rahul Easwar Bids Rs 25 Lakh for a Ticket to Week 12, and Bigg Boss Malayalam 8 Just Got Riskier

Imagine paying for safety with your own prize money. That’s the gamble Bigg Boss Malayalam 8 just handed its housemates, and the twist has fans buzzing.

The Big Bid

With the show past Day 50, Bigg Boss introduced the Ticket to Week 12 task. Contestants secretly wrote bids on slates. The winner’s prize pool is Rs 50 lakh, the bidding cap was Rs 25 lakh, and the winning bid gets deducted from the eventual winner’s prize money. Rahul Easwar won with a bid of Rs 24,99,999.95.

There’s a catch, though. Rahul is also nominated this week, so he must survive the eviction round for the ticket to count. If he’s evicted, the advantage disappears.

Others, including Vedhangi, Tashi, Nowfina, Neha and Noby, also placed bids, ranging from Rs 1,11,111 to nearly Rs 25 lakh. Vipin held the eviction-free pass and skipped the task, since bidding would have cancelled his pass.

Nominations: Shijin in the Hot Seat

Shijin got the most nomination votes, eight in all, from Gautham, Anjali, Rahul, Nowfina, Neha, Azif, Aishwarya and Mridhula. Rahul got six, while Vedhangi and RJ Anjali got five each. Mridhula received two votes, with reasons that included belittling others and underestimating their abilities.

Host Mohanlal also stepped in and directly nominated Tashi and Noby over their conduct in the house. As the finale gets closer, every nomination now carries serious weight. Catch more reality TV buzz in our latest entertainment updates, and read more about the host on Mohanlal’s Wikipedia page.

What to Watch Next

Rahul’s ticket is only as safe as his vote count. If fans back him, he gets a free pass to Week 12, though his future prize money takes a big cut. If not, the biggest bid of the season could go to waste. It’s a high-stakes game of strategy, trust and nerves.
