What Is Lukkhe About?

Lukkhe follows a young sportsman who infiltrates the wild and dangerous world of Punjab’s rap music to investigate a drug syndicate — only to find himself torn between love, family, guilt, and brotherhood.

It’s a high-wire act of identity and loyalty. Going undercover in a world built on authenticity — where your voice, your lyrics, and your crew are your identity — means every lie your character tells tears a little bit of their real self apart. That tension is the beating heart of this series, and having an actual rapper playing that role adds a layer of authenticity that no conventional actor could bring.

KING — The Rapper India Has Been Waiting to See Act

Known for his genre-bending music and massive fan base, KING brings his signature energy to the screen — in a coming-of-age series packed with music and action. Games

Nikhil Madhok, Director and Head of Originals at Prime Video India, said at the announcement: “It’s an extremely exciting show. It’s got King, the rapper who’s making his acting debut. This is a show that was brought to us by two first-time writers — they’re not only the creators, they’re also the writers.”

Two first-time writers getting their show greenlit on India’s biggest streaming platform — and then casting KING as their lead — that’s exactly the kind of bold creative bet that turns unknown titles into cultural phenomena. Think Mirzapur Season 1 energy. Unknown. Unfiltered. Unforgettable.

Raashi Khanna — one of South Indian cinema’s most versatile and charismatic actors — joins as the female lead, bringing credibility and screen presence to balance KING’s raw debut energy. Palak Tiwari and Lakshvir Saran complete a young, dynamic ensemble that feels perfectly cast for Punjab’s gritty street-level world.
