PUBG Mobile 4.1 Update: Frosty Funland Mode, Classic Updates & Everything New

The PUBG Mobile 4.1 update has arrived with a winter wonderland of features that’ll completely transform your battle royale experience. Tencent and Krafton have gone all-in with the Frosty Funland themed mode, major Classic Mode overhauls, and Metro Royale Chapter 29. Whether you’re a casual player or competitive grinder, this November 2025 update delivers game-changing content that demands your attention.

What’s New: PUBG Mobile 4.1 Complete Feature Breakdown

Frosty Funland: The Star Attraction

The headlining feature transforms three iconic maps into winter playgrounds complete with NPC interactions and exclusive themed items. Land in Penguinville or Penguin Towns to experience this limited-time mode that combines combat with cooperative penguin-powered mechanics.

Meet Pownin: Your Ninja Penguin Ally

Once the in-game countdown expires, summon Pownin the Ninja Penguin—an AI teammate you control via voice commands, text, or quick commands. This isn’t just cosmetic fluff; Pownin actively assists in combat, creating genuine tactical advantages when coordinated properly.

Think of it as having a fifth squad member who never complains about loot distribution and always follows your orders perfectly.

Exclusive Themed Weapons & Vehicles

Salted Fish Rocket Launcher: Fires ice projectiles that create slippery ground surfaces. Enemies lose balance while taking continuous damage walking across the frozen terrain—perfect for area denial and crowd control.

Magic Ice Skates: Obtained from the Magic Fox NPC, these skates dramatically increase movement speed, letting you rotate faster than opponents or escape dangerous situations.

Swordfish Syringe: Dual-purpose consumable providing instant healing plus a rapid boost effect. Essential for aggressive playstyles in the themed zones.

Themed Kar98K: Modified bolt-action that delivers charged attacks, slowing enemies with a single shot. Sniper mains will love this CC-enhanced version of their favorite weapon.

Penguin Snowmobile: Four-passenger vehicle capable of charging ice explosions that disrupt enemy positions. Activate Assist Mode for temporary speed boosts during critical rotations.

Classic Mode Gets Major Overhauls

Beyond the themed mode, Classic Mode receives substantial quality-of-life improvements and balance changes that affect core gameplay:

Firearm Adjustments:

• DMR improvements: Enhanced firing stability and bullet speed consistency
• FAMAS buff: Increased magazine capacity for sustained firefights
• Shotgun nerf: Reduced damage output for better close-range balance
• Rifle adjustments: Modified damage drop-off at range

New Erangel Bootyard: A dedicated boat spawn location east of the original map, improving water-based rotations and offering alternative extraction points.

Movable Loot Crates: Finally! You can now relocate enemy death crates to safer positions before looting, reducing vulnerability during post-combat looting.

Loot Truck System: Armored trucks containing high-tier supplies now patrol Classic Mode maps. Deal damage to these vehicles to access premium loot—creating dynamic hotspots throughout matches.

These changes fundamentally alter meta strategies, especially regarding weapon selection and rotation planning. The DMR buffs make long-range engagements more viable, while shotgun nerfs shift close-quarters combat dynamics.

Metro Royale Chapter 29 Enhancements

Dedicated Metro Royale players get substantial updates with Chapter 29:

• Enhanced Fame reward system with better progression incentives
• Gift-giving mechanics for command post NPCs (build relationships for exclusive items)
• Adjusted return gift limits for balanced economy
• New Frost Festival-themed crates with exclusive cosmetics
• Additional sellable items expanding trading opportunities

The metro economy receives meaningful tuning that rewards consistent play while maintaining challenge for hardcore grinders.

Home & WOW Mode Refresh

Customization enthusiasts gain new homestyles including Polar Wonderland and Esports Room themes, plus interactive objects imported directly from Frosty Funland. WOW mode integration means you can experience themed content even when not playing battle royale.
