Price Hike Alert: Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 Series Gets Costlier From July 7

First it was smartphones. Now it’s tablets. Samsung has quietly hiked prices across its budget Galaxy Tab A11 lineup in India, with increases touching ₹5,000 on select variants — effective July 7, 2026.

What’s Changed

The base WiFi variant takes the hardest hit, jumping a full ₹5,000 — a steep increase for what was originally positioned as Samsung’s entry-level, budget-friendly tablet for students and casual users. You can check current listings on Samsung India’s official Tab A11 page.

Why Tablets Are Getting Hit Too

This isn’t a one-off. It’s the same story that’s been driving up smartphone prices across brands: memory chip costs are climbing fast, fueled by surging global demand for DRAM and NAND as AI infrastructure eats up supply. Budget devices like the Tab A11 run on tighter margins to begin with, so even a modest rise in memory costs shows up as a bigger jump at retail.

If you’ve noticed your favourite phones creeping up in price too, our smartphone price hike coverage has been tracking the pattern closely — this is very much part of the same industry-wide squeeze.

Should You Buy Now?

Given how quickly this cycle has moved — smartphones first, now tablets — there’s a real chance other budget tablets follow suit in the coming weeks. If a Tab A11 or A11+ was already on your list, buying sooner rather than later isn’t unreasonable, especially since bank cashback offers on these models have so far stayed intact alongside the price bump.

The Takeaway

Budget tablets used to be the safe, affordable choice — that math is shifting fast. With memory costs showing no sign of cooling off, don’t be surprised if this isn’t the last price hike we see this quarter, on tablets or phones.
