Prabhas’ Spirit Set on Fire: A Scary On-Set Accident Rocks One of India’s Most Awaited Films

Big films come with big risks — and the sets of Prabhas and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s highly anticipated cop-action drama Spirit just got a painful reminder of that. A reported fire accident on set has left fans concerned and the film community talking.

What Happened on the Spirit Set?

According to a report by Telugu 360, a fire broke out on the sets of Spirit, resulting in a crew member sustaining minor injuries. Tents and other materials on set reportedly caught fire and were partially burned. Prabhas was not present at the location at the time of the incident, which suggests the situation was contained relatively quickly.

It’s worth noting that the makers have not yet officially confirmed the incident, so details remain based on initial reports.

Spirit: Overview

What Is Spirit About?

Spirit marks the first-ever collaboration between Prabhas and Animal director Sandeep Reddy Vanga — easily one of the most talked-about pairings in Indian cinema right now. Prabhas plays a hot-headed IPS officer who gets convicted and must infiltrate a dangerous cartel. Vivek Oberoi steps in as the main antagonist, with Aishwarya Desai also playing a key role.

The scale of the project is massive — with a planned release in 8 languages including Japanese, Mandarin, and Korean, this is clearly aimed at a global audience. According to Wikipedia’s overview of Indian cinema, multilingual mega-productions like this represent the new ambition of the Indian film industry.

What’s Prabhas Busy With Otherwise?

Prabhas was last seen in the horror-comedy The Raja Saab, now streaming on JioHotstar. His next film after Spirit is Fauzi, a period actioner directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, featuring an ensemble cast including Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, and Jaya Prada — with a tentative December 2026 release.
