The most anticipated Prabhas new film releasing first is The Raja Saab, a fantasy horror-comedy scheduled for January 9, 2026. According to official reports, this marks the superstar’s first venture into the horror-comedy genre.
Directed by Maruthi, the film features Prabhas in dual roles—a theatre owner and his grandfather’s ghost. Shot on India’s largest indoor set spanning 41,256 square feet, production wrapped after 120 days of intensive filming.
Meet the Leading Ladies
Malavika Mohanan brings her critically acclaimed talent to the project. The daughter of renowned cinematographer K.U. Mohanan, she gained recognition for her breakthrough performance in Majid Majidi’s Beyond the Clouds (2017). Having starred in blockbusters like Master alongside Vijay and Pa. Ranjith’s Thangalaan, Malavika recently impressed audiences in Hridayapoorvam, which became the fourth highest-grossing Malayalam film of 2025.
Nidhhi Agerwal, a former Miss Diva Universe 2014 finalist, made her Bollywood debut with Munna Michael (2017), earning the Zee Cine Award for Best Female Debut. Born in Hyderabad and raised in Bangalore, she speaks multiple languages including Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada. Her breakthrough came with the Telugu blockbuster iSmart Shankar (2019), which ran for over 100 days at the box office.
Riddhi Kumar completes the leading trio. Born into an Indian Army family in Maharashtra, she graduated with a Philosophy degree from Fergusson College, Pune. After winning titles like Face of India 2016, she made her Telugu debut with Lover (2018). The versatile actress has since appeared in acclaimed web series including Candy (2021), Human (2022), and most recently in Superboys of Malegaon.
The film’s music composed by Thaman S has already created buzz, with three singles released, including a remake of Bappi Lahiri’s iconic “Auva Auva.”
