Megan Fox ‘Unrecognizable’? New Video Sparks Debate Over Her Appearance

Megan Fox has once again become the focus of social media discussion after a recently released video showed the actress alongside filmmaker Karyn Kusama. While the pair spoke about some of their favorite films, online attention quickly shifted to Fox’s appearance.

Why Is Megan Fox Trending Again?

Letterboxd recently shared footage of Fox and Kusama discussing their favorite films as part of the platform’s “Four Favorites” feature. The video was filmed in October 2025 during a special screening of Jennifer’s Body at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles, but was only released publicly in October 2026.

Fox recommended films including Braveheart, The Lion King, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II and the Harry Potter series. However, many social media users focused instead on how different they felt she looked compared with older photographs.

Some commenters described Fox as “unrecognizable” and revived speculation about possible cosmetic procedures. The reaction became intense enough that Letterboxd eventually disabled comments on its Instagram post.

Fans Defend Megan Fox

Not everyone joined the criticism. Several fans pointed out that the footage was recorded only eight months after Fox had given birth to her fourth child. They argued that changes in appearance and weight following pregnancy are completely normal and should not become the subject of online scrutiny.

Others criticized the practice of comparing celebrities with photographs taken years earlier, particularly when factors such as lighting, makeup, camera quality, styling and natural changes can affect how someone looks.

What Has Megan Fox Said About Cosmetic Procedures?

Fox has previously spoken openly about procedures she has undergone. During a 2024 appearance on Call Her Daddy, she acknowledged having a rhinoplasty in her early 20s, breast procedures, Botox and fillers. She also rejected several other cosmetic-procedure claims that had circulated about her.

The actress has faced similar speculation before. Following the 2024 Super Bowl, photographs of Fox with Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce and Machine Gun Kelly sparked another wave of comments about her face. Fox later shared additional images from the same evening and pointed to lighting and image quality as factors behind some of the differences people noticed.

Megan Fox Has Spoken About Body Image

The discussion around Fox’s appearance also has a more personal dimension. In a 2023 interview, she spoke about experiencing body dysmorphia and explained that she does not always perceive herself in the same way other people do.

Her comments highlighted the long-running pressure she has faced over her appearance, particularly since becoming a major Hollywood star at a young age.

A New Campaign for Megan Fox

The latest discussion comes as Fox is also appearing in a new advertising campaign. On October 1, she became the face of Ro Sparks, a prescription erectile-dysfunction treatment from Ro. In the humorous campaign, Fox appears in a striking red outfit while addressing the subject through comedy and wordplay.

The latest controversy, therefore, is based largely on footage that was recorded about a year ago. While the video was intended to celebrate Jennifer’s Body and Fox’s movie recommendations with Kusama, its release has once again brought attention to the actress’s appearance rather than the conversation about cinema itself.
